Custom avatars are coming. Keep in mind, they'll have to censor them to some degree.

Just need to get one approved before it shows up. Works well for DSLR/BBR.

I honestly don't see the big deal with custom avatars. Every other forum has it. "People could use inappropriate ones" is also not a valid defense, because people can also make inappropriate posts, so what difference does it make if they can also have an inappropriate avatar.

Image sigs should be allowed too. Just set rules for how big it can be so people don't go overboard.

Cant you link them to rankings? Like someone with 1000s posts may be alot less likely to upload a inappropriate avatar on threat of permban than someone with, say, 30 posts. :hmm:

Yeah, you can set posting privileges like custom avatars to groups based on postcount. I don't remember if this is supported by default on vB, but it can be set up that way by add-ons, I think.

Regardless of status I feel all members should be allowed a custom avatar
and hopefully the people that run this place agree with me.
