Did I make the right choice? Or was I stupid?

purchased from HERE

I have a few minutes before I cancel the order. Any thoughts? I am wondering if I fell into the geek-trap again. 🙁
Sure, there a Dell notebook deals out there, but I did not want to hassle with rebates. I know it doesn't have the Radeon/GeForceMX mobile chipsets, but....

And since I am in Cali, the total was $1126 shipped to my door.
I need some re-assurance or some common sense knocked into me... !!

do you have an extra grand to burn?
do you need a laptop more than you need something else that you could spend a grand on?

If you used your Discover and are a first time customer you could get 10% off your order...

10% off $100+ for Discover users, new customers

damn, well no discover card, but i did have a $50 off $500 that I used... and as for a grand to burn? eh, not really, but I do have a job lined up for me in about 4 months, my AmEx APR is 10% and I still have 4 months of school left, which is what I am going to use it for. I have been struggling without a laptop!

I think it is a decent buy, but not the best deal. Personally I would cancel and look through hot deals or shop around. With the P4 laptops out I think a P3 could be had for cheaper. Also having a 3-yr warranty is worth it IMO.

Isn't that the damn truth...

I wouldn't worry about it, don't be second guessing yourself and just be happy with it when it arrives 🙂

Certainly not bad, but I would see IBM ebay store deals. IBM sells discontinued (but not THAT old...maybe four months?), but brand new models for VERY good prices. And you get the warranty, and of course, IBM's unmatched build quality and customer service.

I had a tiny blotch on my screen - from phone call to fixed laptop at my doorstep was a 3 day turn-around. Can't go wrong.

I lucked out last july - they made an error on the ebay page, and therefore upgraded my pruchase to an A21M 15" screen lappy for $999.
