onkyo makes awesome dvd players, good decision there.

the cables though... yikes. yeah, swap em for some cheaper stuff, like everyone else said. don't get the cheapest cables you can find... but you can grab GREAT quality cables for about 1/5th of the price you paid.

i also don't think bose is that bad if you need small/hidden speakers.

Actually, the BOSE products I was completely against. But my mom insisted they were better even though they were like 3x as much as the Polk Audio ones.

i doubt you'd notice the difference in a blind test between 5 dollar cables and monsters. monster should come out with monster ide cables, i'm sure they'd sell some🙂
 
That's like going to buy 15$ usb cables when we bought them for .75$ at compgeeks 😀.

Get rid of the monster cables, 130/100$ each is outragous for cables.
