Did I get ripped off? :(

Depends on when you need the drive. IMHO, you got it at an average-high price for a 64 gig ssd. If you can wait, there are always SSD deals on slickdeals.net or fatwallet.com. Last week, they were selling the 80 gig Intel 320 ssd drive for 80$ after rebate just for reference. The M4 is reliable and is a quality ssd. The solid 3 is from OCZ and they got a lot of flak for their drives being unreliable.

Ah okay, thank you very much. Now I don't feel guilty anymore lol 🙂

Apples to oranges. The Crucial M4 is supposedly bulletproof, with a very low failure rate. The OCZ is fast but failure rate is much higher.

No. You willingly paid for a product at the then asking price. Why would you think you were "ripped off?"

Computer stuff changes in price all the time. Heck, this is the Christmas shopping season. Sales happen all the time. You paid "regular price." Your fault for not waiting for a sale, but in no way, shape or form were you "ripped off."

OCZ has three tiers of drives with the SandForce controller. The Vertex 3 is the top of the line. The Agility 3 is middle of the road. The Solid 3 is the bargain drive.

The Crucial M4 is one of the top drives on the market...

Theres no contest between compatibility and reliability of the M4 to a current gen Sandforce. I'd have taken the M4.
