Probably not if your overclocking

Can i run bf2 and future games well enuff with this rig?
Yes, depending on resolution you may not be able to run the very highest settings but IMO that's OK

Yes

I'm guessing this is a new PC, correct?
If those are the actual specs (3500+, 6800GT, 74GB Raptor), then $700 in an excellent
price. Those 3 items are worth nearly $700 new.
Then you add the case/PSU, MB, 2nd HD, 1GB RAM, DVD burner, LEGAL copy of Windows, and that's another $4-500.

Where did you get this?

yes that PC should run BF2 with nearly everything set to High, its a great price if everything is as advertised.

Everything is nice except for the severely underpowered PSU. Don't be supprised if you get unexpected crashes and freezups. To power those components I wouldnt go less then 480W. If you are going to overclock it wouldn't hurt to go more.

P.S. My DFI Lanparty Nforce 4 motherboard requires at least a 480W power supply to run stable. Not to mention that you have a faster processor and Graphics card then me.

The motherboard isn't officially supported by Asus. It's a Fujitsu-Siemens oem based board from Asus. So, the price is reasonably for a product that has little to no support if, at all. FS supports it. Which is almost nill. The auction doesn't mention anything about DOA warranty either AFAIK.

Could be just me, but there's something not quite kosher about that deal. There's no way a seller would sell a PC with those specs and brand new parts at that price (they'd be taking a major loss). I don't think even Dell's capable of selling one at that price, even with coupons. I hope I'm wrong, but I guess we'll see when you get the thing.

I agree.
The fact that it was on Ebay makes it even more likely that something is wrong there.
If you took out the Raptor and it only had a 6600GT, the builder would most likely still be taking a loss.

So my best guess is that some or most of those parts listed did not actually make it into the box you'll be getting and the seller is just hoping you won't be smart enough to actually check.

Hope I'm wrong, but there are waaaaay too many shady PC deals on ebay.

I hope you received it already. Its probably gray market which would explain the cost. If it is as it says then you got a great deal!

Of course, at first I was quite skeptical but as I read through his feedback it was almost immaculate. Also, I came about this AMAZING rig that was sold at an even more AMAZING price

The person left positive feedback stating that he absolutely loved the 1st class top end computer.

Only time will tell, the computer was shipped yeserday and should be arriving the 21st at my door. I'll keep you guys posted. Also, this auction is protected under Paypal Buyer Protection Plan so I'm insured up to $1,000 if something is significantly wrong or missing. All I can do at this point is trust.

Amen to that. Took them 6 months to finally reimburse me for a bad ebay deal.
