Did i get a bad deal with my GeForce3 ti200?

hi! i just bought a Leadtek GeForce3 ti200 64 last week for $200. just a while ago, i saw a GeForce4 MX being sold for $130 at the same shop i bought my new rig from. What gives? i certainly hope my ti200 was worth the extra dough i spent on it. Can anyone enlighten me as to what i am losing (if ever i am)? TIA!

you did the right thing..... i urge you to read Anandtech's article with benchmarks on geforce2, 3, 4 and some ati cards
 
The GF3 Ti 200 is the better card so expect to pay more for it than a GF4 MX card. As for $200, you are referring to US dollars? If it's $200 US that DOES sound somewhat high. If it's Canadian then that's just fine.
 
US dollars. i converted them from Philippine pesos. ($1 - 50 Php) Its a drag that pc parts are expensive here. Being close to taiwan manufacturers and all.. i would have expected otherwise. I'll check out the article. Be back in a while.

"Well, being the total dumb-ass that I am, I got the drive #'s mixed up and I ended up ghosting my spare (blank) HD onto my real HD. So now I'm sitting here in total shock that I just erased everything."

Make that two man. Also got the drive letters mixed up just last month with a new HD and ended up reformatting my old hardisk with all the data.
 
The Gf3 Ti200 was a good bet for you. I would stay away from the GF4 MX flavors cause they are crippled and less speed than the GF3 Ti's. $200 doesn't sound too bad since parts are more expensive there, plus local stores that don't do mailorder usually sell things a bit higher cause they offer their "service" since they're local.

Actually, that didn't happen to me, persay. I quoted that from some Anandtech person who wrote a message that contained it and I found it SO funny that I put it as my sig. 🙂
