Did I break my toe?

I stubbed my toe last night on a doorjamb; I remember it hurting, but it definitely wasn't a bad stub. The pain went away after about ten seconds, but when I started walking around about a minute later, my littlest toe started hurting. I figured that it just got dislocated or something, so I played around with it and tried to get it 'located' again.

This morning, it still hurts when I move it. Does this mean I broke my toe? It's weird, because that was one of the least-painful toe-stubs I've ever had, and I definitely don't think a toe would break because of it.

If it is broken, it'll be the first break ever for me. Should I just tape it to the toe next to it?

The easiest way to tell if you broke a toe is that there will a circle around it where the break is(as in a white circle distinguishable on the skin). Broke my ring toe and the nurse said to look for it and sure enough it was there.

Is it a painful discolored deformed extremity? Also, if you can pinpoint the pain, as in be able to trace it with a pen or point tight to the spot. You probably didnt break it.
