Did Gangs of New York suck?

I love Martin Scorsese's movies, but this was almost unwatchable.

i liked it... not that it was historically accurate..but it was neat seeing stuff in the old days... i liked the changing skyline at the end of th emovie, too

It's more like boring and overhype than suck.
It's one disc too long too.
It is definately watchable compare to punch drunk love.
I just don't think that GoNY deserves Oscar nod.

i actually enjoy it...well, kind of.
First, i thought the acting was done very well... by most. Cameron Diez SUCKED. sometimes she had the accent, sometimes she didnt.
DiCaprio was very good as well as the other lead characters. Costumes were wonderful and music was as well. The actor that was the villian(Forgot his name) was excellent; at the end, when i walked out of the movie, i hated him, i think he did his job. All in all, i thought the movie was not too shabby

I thought it was great. The Butcher was a great character and fun to watch. Leo was good. Cameron could have easily been replaced.

The story was good, the characters were good, and the fight scenes were great. One of the better movies I've rented in quite some time.

Yes, I think it was really bad. I walked out it. It was so violent, that it was disturbing me. I can't stand movies where people fight with crude weapons, like swords and knives.
