The one in Austin is always super crowded, I think they'll be fine.

Their website is useless garbage though. I don't even bother trying to use it.

It's not just you! http://frys.com looks down from here.

Did Frys go out of business?

A friend wanted to go shopping for a TV and I recommended Frys but the website doesn't even resolve.

Clearly they must have gone out of business. I mean, what other logical conclusion could be made from this unusual turn of events.

Just bought a set of surround speakers from them last week...site works for me too. I dont think theyre going anywhere. They match online prices now, and have a huge selection.

Haven't visited Fry's in a long time, but it loads almost instantly here 🙂
Completely new site since I was there last.

Miss going to frys, the people in the Ventura California one knew me by name as it was my second home. 🙂 The one in Las Vegas off flamingo is enormous and awesome.

Edit: The site is up now. Called local store and they said they plan on being around.

i bought stuff at Fry's four days ago. No sign of doom. Went past several recently and all looked open for business.

Have a family member who's a department manager in their Roseville (Sacramento area) store. They're not going out of business.

I don't know how the other locations are doing, but the one near me is always busy. I guess if their margins are too low, then that could mean trouble. It would be a shame to see them go out of business, not many places carry computer parts for when I need something immediately. I take care of all the computers for a small business, and I can't wait a day or two to order something offline.

I love going to Fry's, but more and more the ones near me are looking like a Roses or KMart a few years before their disappearance--trash everywhere, piles of re-taped boxes of stuff shoved onto random shelves, etc.

Haven't been to Fry's (Downers Grove, IL) since Feb 2011. Went there for a sale. CPU mobo combo. Place looked disorganized and a lot mobo boxes looked opened. Not much of a discount on them too. Micro Center nearby looked a lot better.

Found a better deal with Newegg, no tax & free shipping.
