Did everyone else in California get an Amber Alert one their phone?

Just wondering if everyone else got this. This was the first time I saw this. Seems like a good idea to help get information to many people quickly.

Mine didn't make any noise...but maybe its because I was in the shower and didn't hear it? Funny enough when I dismissed it I had the option not to receive future alerts.

That looks kind of pointless. It tells you almost nothing. Is there a button to click to get more info?

I had to turn all those notifications off a while ago, with the Amber alerts and severe thunderstorm warnings going off in the middle of the night my wife got pissed.

There is no way to get more info, although the alert itself could tell you what to do to get more info. During Sandy last year I got these warnings:

Thanks for reminding me to go into settings and disable all of the emergency alerts, I forgot to do it after updating my phone.

I got the alert. And then I disabled them all. Except the presidential alert that it doesnt let you disable. Probably obama telling you to pay more taxes.

emergency alerts is from your citys operations center. I kept it on
