Did/Does anyone else think the backpack avatar was/is a robot head?

Until some one specifically mentioned it, I assumed the avatar of a blue backpack was not actually a backpack, but a robot head like the one's the transformers have. I still think it kind of looks like one, except for that strap on the back of it.

I mean, WTF is a backpack avatar suppose to mean anyway? I like backpacking?

Yes many people confused the backpack with a robot when it first came out. I guess you could think the strap was a mohawk hairstyle on the robot. I think there were even several threads about it. Yep this is a repost.

For a second I thought you were talking about the brown back avitar. 1) I never thought the brown bag avitar looked like a robot head. 2) I was like, wtf, that is a back pack, how.

Look at some transformers toys and the resemblence is quite close.

I have to really concentrate to see it as a robot head, sorta like those 3d images (a schooner IS a sailboat, stupidhead) Never would have seen it that way if you didn't point it out. Also never thought the evil emoticon was anything but a devil.

Exactly. The boxy head has features of a jaw and strong brow, not unlike tranformers faces. The eyes thing isn't that apparent since all the other features are instact, and I thought it was a robot so its not like it HAD to have eyeballs or something.

The strap never concerned me because I never really looked close at the icon until some one mentioned something about a certain poster being a backpack. When I glanced at it originally I said "Oh a robot" and never looked at it closely again. Upon closer inspection, it is a backpack.
