Did Compaq buy ATI?

I did a search for "compaq ati" and it didn't come up with a result, so check out ATI's homepage. It looks exactly the same like Compaq.

Well it looks like they're in some sort of partnership.

I doubt that Compaq bought ATi. They're busy enough with the merger with HP. Perhaps the site was redesigned by the same team or the same contract company or something like that. They do look alike though.

I used to wonder about such things when I would see sites that looked similar, but I got over it when I found a couple of dozen sites that looked identical to Amazon.Com in layout.
