It just did for me. Did a furnace install a while back for some microsoft guy and he was scrapping his old computers in the garage. I noticed one was pretty okay looking..massive arctic cooler on it. I asked him if he wanted to sell it...he said I could have it minus the hdd's.

Well I got around to checking it out today and it had 8 gigs of ddr2 ram. 4 2gig sticks. My current computer only has 4 1gig sticks. I doubled my effing ram today. Path of Exile is running great now :)

Best christmas present ever :)

The colonoscopy was last week so the excitement has kind of worn off.

I am getting a new free flip phone to replace my vx8300 but only Luddites get excited about that.

My thoughts exactly..it was corsair too. been looking forever to upgrade my ram but the cost for old ram is really damn expensive.

I've been struggling to find ddr2 myself. I have a Core2Quad which could be overlocked and is paired with a 7770. Could be good for WoW when I visit my mother on the weekend but the two gigs of ram just don't cut it. 8 gigs would be perfect, but finding that in ddr2 is a tall order for the money. Crap is more expensive than faster ram today.

Beware! I caved-in and replaced my 10-year-old flip phone with a newer model and it was worse, I ended up throwing it in the dumpster in 2014 and have been phoneless ever since. My older one I "recycled" in their stupid box when I got the newer one thinking I would never need it again and now I can never go back to it's 2005 flipphone technology greatness. :(

I just got my second 40" 4K UHD HDR TV set up, on my other PC.

The first one, is hooked up to an i5-6400 @ 4.455Ghz, with an RX 460 4GB Nitro (unlocked). Running at 3840x2160 @ 60Hz, 4:2:0.

The second one, is hooked up to a G4400 @ 4.455Ghz, with a 7950 3GB card. Which is only HDMI 1.4. Running 3840x2160 @ 30Hz, 4:4:4.

Yes, when I'm running at 4K 30Hz, the TV will do 4:4:4. But not at 60Hz. :( Wish that there was some way around that.

That is my concern. My 8300 works even in old's basement but the battery is shot...duh, 10 years old. I bought a new battery but it's manufacture date was 6 years ago...yeah, it sucks too. The one I wanted was AT&T only, DuraXE. I'm on verizon. I'm getting the DuraXV from friends that work at...AT&T. We'll see. I've tossed other useless crap in the trash.

The whole thing was really a non event for me. 64oz of gatorade in less than a 6 pack. Over 3.5 hrs...please. OTH, the wife had it rough last night. Puking on her 3rd 8oz glass. People should practice more.:D
