Can the state afford the tunnel? If not, then it was a good idea.

We can't afford not to build it. He just wants to throw away years of planning and work. I voted for Christie but he is a disaster. He cost the state 400 million in state aid. He has repeatedly publicly gotten into nasty discord with people. It was a joke to see our Gov in some other state arguing with some person on a race in another state, considering all the problems we have here. He has proposed nothing that even remotely makes sense. And what he did last week with those kids is just embarrassing.

He criticized the teachers for their misuse of the kids, but he turns around does the exact same thing, even worse, far worse. I am not afraid to admit I was wrong. I was wrong about Obama and sadly I was wrong about Christie. I voted for two dumbasses right in a row. And if god be willing, I will not vote for either of them in the next elections.

Time out the project was 1b over before it started....how can use that as grounds to say it wont go beyond that once they break ground. What government project of this magnitude ever stayed on time on budget? Seriously? If they are 1b over budget on the easy stuff what happens when the they've started the build and real life set backs happen.

The project had started major construction back in May of some road overpasses and the Palisades tunnels. There was nothing real challenging in the engineering until the station on the Manhattan end, which other than being fairly deep isn't going to be a lot different than the East Side Access that is being built for the LIRR under GCT.
