what i've heard is that billy corgan has alopecia (spelling?). this is a condition where you loose your body hair. you could see it was already patchy in the siamese dream days, but he kinda combed over the balding spots. so basically, yeah he shaves it because he is balding. he's not the only rocker to do this, either (joe satriani is another example).

alopecia is just the fancy medical name for going bald.

I think the Zero video was the last one he did with hair. He was losing it. Let's put it this way, no white guys shave their heads completely because it looks good.
