Did AVG just bite the dust with it's discontinued antivirus?

last time, when i turned on my comp, and all the regular apps started loading (MSN+AIM+firewall+AVG)

i got some pop up regarding AVG not being free anymore
unfortunately i closed the window too fast before noticing that it was important to read.


did any of you guys hear regarding AVg being no more?

i went to their site http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 but didnt find any info regardign what i wanted.
they did state however that there will be some kind of NEW Antivirus due to vista coming out
