Any idea if mass amounts of both the Mini and the Shuffle were shipped to Apple retail stores?

Yeah, they have it

i was at one of the fancy malls in orlando today and happened to stop by the Apple store
I saw the mac mini and the ipod shuffle

The mac mini is pretty tiny
the ipod shuffle you just plug one end of it into the usb port... sort of like a thumb drive and you don't have to deal with cords

This is exactly why I want to buy it. For my CS class we're required to either bring a crap load of floppies or we can use a thumb drive. I'm opting for the latter.

What happened to the initial reports that the Mini wasn't going to be released until July? I guess none of those came from Apple. It's tempting. If I didn't have to purchase another vehicle, I would probably get one. :p

Yes they do work but it's still a pyramind marketing scheme (not scam).

I was hesitant until freeminimacs.com came out, then I gave in to the dark side (and I'm glad I did).

Helping someone else get a Free Mac Mini first then it will be my turn. It isn't easy but it is possible :)

That's all I can say.

What fun would it be if I revealed all my secrets?

Well then we wouldn't have to cut you open like a furby
to find out what's inside. ;)

There's already thousands of mp3 players like the shuffle already on the market. I bought mine 2 years ago. The only good thing about it is the extra space (1 gig version is nice). I prolly would have bought one if it had a lcd screen.

Right, but mac's entire marketing approach now is form first, function second. And if you want both (ipod) you're going to pay out the nose for it. Mac is big time trendy right now, and it's helping their market share beyond what the market would normally allow.

1. Form and function.
2. Why do you care?
