Did anyone understand inception

So I understand the idea, I've watched more complex science fiction movies, usually at the beginning they had a narration explanation of the complex theme. In inception they jumped right into it, with no background.

Just accept the plot device for what it is.

I was a bit lost in my first viewing. I saw it a second time and it was much easier to follow.

I didn't understand why all the "bad" guys in the movie could not hit a target.

this is probably why all the SAW movies have a very descriptive ending that explains the movie.

The movie was good, it was very easy to follow IMO. The last part just makes you think, could go either way...depending on your point of view.

Fix your title, you don't need to put a disclaimer on your OP, just fix it.

The only part I didn't quite catch was who's dream they went into in the 4th level, and why. But I've only seen it once. Nolan is renown for making movies that you get a deeper understanding for every time you re-watch it. E.g. Memento, The Prestige, etc.

They were in the same guys dream, just kept going into his dream in the dream world. They had to go to the "4th level" to plant the idea so deep in his mind that he would think he had the thought himself and wouldn't realize it was planted there. It was always in the one guys mind though.
