did anyone try the refurbished stuff from newegg before

I always go refurbished if it's an option. Usually cheaper and better.

I never get anything refurbished or factory second or slightly irregular.
You can find so many places to get things cheap its just not worth it.

Except FX-60's, but nobodies RMA'ing those. 🙂

Bought a refurb mobo from New Egg, it did not work, they gave me a credit to another mobo and I bought a new one in its place. Although I paid extra for the new one.

I got a mobo for my media center from newegg. It was a pain setup, but that was a mobo issue that all have. Don't expect accessories. I didn't get an IO shield or CD or anything, but when you buy refurb you're not supposed to, so...

yes, probably im gonna find a used one here instead of buying a refurb.

I'm 1 for 3 on newegg refurbished motherboards.
I will now gladly pay the extra cost for a new one. The troubleshooting, shipping and waiting for return is too much of a pain.

I limit Newegg refurbs to memory, hard drives, and video cards. I stopped buying their refurb mobos because they do not come with the i/o shield. Over the years, >90% of the stuff I've bought has worked without problems from the refurb section. But it's the lack of accessories that make many purchases not worth it.
