Although I agree her celebrity sets her up for things like this, and she should expect it, if it would have been me, I would have simply said to Mr. Letterman.. "Listen you have 10 seconds to drop it, or I walk."

It still would have been worth it, at least for Letterman (and the viewers). She'd be the one missing the chance to plug her own merchandise.

She came on Letterman to promote her perfume and clothing line...oh please, go on Regis to do that kind of crap.
In fact, it was probably all scripted to generate some apathy/sympathy toward her.

Yeah, right. She's an attention whore. If Letterman wants to point a camera at her and put her on TV again she'll do anything for the chance.
