While I was channel surfing I came across fox news filming aerial coverage of a police pursuit in Houston. I watched it for over an hour.

I'm pretty sure high speed chases are some of the most exciting things to watch on TV. They need to somehow figure out a way to turn high speed chases into a weekly reality program?

Hire professional drivers to purposefully evade police?

pretty sure the show "jesse james is a dead man" is something like the reality show you are describing. I don't know exactly because I've never watched it, but I know one of the promo's talked about him getting in a car chase with the local PD. Not sure how eventful/realistic it was given that it was all done for tv but it's as close as i can think of.
