Did anyone see the Carmack and Geforce 3 demonstration @ that MAc show?

Amazing. It just keeps getting better everyday. It will be a long time before I buy one, but it's really good to see the progress we have made in just a few short years.

$600 is INSANE for a video card, no matter how kickass it is. I sneered at the proposed V5-6000 for the same reason.

My friend downloaded the whole presentation. It was over 13 MB, but it was worth it.

The screenshots don't do the card justice. It did that stuff real time. It ran very smooth, but yet there were lights shifting all over the place. The shadows changed appropriately as well. It was just amazing.

Even Carmack said it was the most exciting thing they've had to work with in years.
