Did anyone see that story on the news about Alex(12 years old) and Derek King(13) a while ago?

Just curious. Do you all think its fair for Alex King and Derek King to get 22 years to life in prison ? I myself think they need a retrial which i beleive they are getting to go over everything again because this could be the wrong thing but i could be wrong. But i do think they could of had something to do with it but maybe not the person who did it. They are the youngest ever to be tired as juveniles.

Do you all think a 12 or a 13 year old is capable of doing something like that?

"Alex was 12 and Derek 13 on Nov. 26 when their father was killed and his house set on fire in nearby Cantonment.

The brothers were facing prison terms of 20 years to life under state sentencing guidelines because they were tried as adults rather than juveniles. They were convicted of arson and second-degree murder without a weapon.

The victim, Terry King, 40, died from blows to the head with an aluminum baseball bat. The six-member jury concluded an adult co-defendant, Ricky Chavis, wielded the weapon but that the boys were accomplices by letting him in the house. "

Thats horrible! Bleh...to kill your father while he's asleep and then burn the house down? thats fvked up

fatbaby yeah but there is another thing that Ricky Chavis did. Ricky Chavis is a pedophile and he is being charged with it again against Alex King sense he said things he did. So they are thinking he like sorta tricked them like saying they would not go to jail long ,etc maybe but i know they made their own chose which they still should be accounted for but maybe not as long. I think Alex and Derek King are getting a retrial which i think is good so it can all be fair. He has been charged with other ones too before this. I think he still should of been in jail Ricky Chavis because thats just wrong.

Alex and Derek King were like with foster parnets for a while and had a hard life. But their dad got both of them together again. I think both Alex and Derek King were with different foster parnets.

I dont like my parents either, but it's not like I'm going to go kill them.

From what I know and heard, I would pick exactly what the jurors decided. I'm 100% sure at that age anyone is capable of doing it. We have brain childs at the age of what? I'm sure Ricky Chavis played a role in it also.

I think I heard, Rosie O' Donnel hired some lawyers for them also? :disgust: God, shes one of those people that think "oh no, they are children that love thier parents.. they could never do such a thing".

It's not about how wrong it was.. it's about their age. There's a reason there is a distinction between minors and adults for trials.. but now that is thrown out the window with this minors tried as adults bullshit. Minors are minors. Try them as such.
What's wrong with Rosie hiring lawyers? Last time I checked, everyone had the right to counsel.

How can anyone NOT like their parents ?
