Did anyone see FlyI's 249 deal?

Did anyone hear about / buy the Independacne Air 249 deal for college students? For 249, you can fly tuesday, wednesday, and saturday for free, plus the fees, anywhere east of the mississippi I have flown them out to Ohio a couple of times, and although the planes were small, they were overall pretty good. I just think it would be kind of fun and random to fly around the east coast and visit places for free basically. Just wondering if someone has done this. Thanks.

i don't know, but you do have to pay the fees each time you fly, which the last time I checked, ran up to $20 per flight....I think if you were to get your moneys worth it could potentially cost you a lot of money just flying for fun. I thought it was a good idea until those fees popped up.

Yeah that makes sense, they say UP TO $20 per way. I really dont understand how these fees work out, are the dependant on how far the flight is? My cousin is geting married at the end of the month so I was thinking of doing this and be able to maybe due an NYC trip or even a florida trip.
