I watched it a few nights ago and it kept me entertained, but I'm glad I didn't pay to see it in the theaters.

Watch the Original. David Carradine is Jason Statham Character and instead of killing each other, you try to kill pedestrians for points and beat your opponents. It was amazing, bad, and awesome all at the same time.

So it should have been called Carmageddon.

You're right. They should have known a video game would be coming out in 20 years with the same concept and named it that instead. DR2000 came out in '75 :p

Anybody catch that Carradine did the voice over for the first "Frank" at the beginning of the movie?

:)

I watched it with my wife the other night. It was 90 minutes of sensless violence and carnage with no real significant plot or intelligence needed to enjoy. Which is exactly what we needed after a really rough day at work.

They weren't bonuses. They were your weapons activation. Their guns were disabled until the 2nd lap, then you run over the thing in the ground to unlock it.

It was okay to watch.

The stubborn people here who say it should have been called Twisted Metal ever think that Twisted Metal was inspired by the movie since it came out first?

i saw it and it was tons better than i expected it to be. i thought it was going to be terrible.

it's probably the only good movie jason statham has been a lead role in other than Transporter (only the first one).
