WTF? She's speaking at the Republican convention yet she just admitted on the air that she's not really a Republican and she's not sure if she's even going to vote for Bush. I say again...WTF???

By the way, this bimbo appears to have the IQ of a brick.

I think she's a wolf in sheep's clothing.

By the way, it took Hannity about 30 seconds to figure out that something wasn't right with her.

Does anyone have this show 08/26/04 captured? During the segment with
BK Burkett slamming Kerry for authoring a book with a book cover with an upside down flag, Hannity points to the book and gives our flag the middle finger. Inadvertent? Maybe or maybe it was something in his subconscious.
I would love to have that image. anyone?

Well, she seems smarter that 85% of today's youth.

While listening to Sean Hannity today, he did his man on the street bit - but he interviewed people in NY protesting Bush (they were all in their 20's or younger). All of them said they were voting for Kerry, yet when asked why, they didn't have an answer - they just said anyone but Bush. They didn't know anything about Kerry, didn't know where he stood on issues, they didn't know ANYTHING about him - and these people were planing on voting! They flat out told Sean that they didn't know anything about Kerry's history in the senate, and many didn't even know that he was a senator. Pathetic.

Sean was even able to convince half of them that John Kerry's name was really Jim Kurney.

Awwww poor Neocons.

The thing they fail to mention is it doesn't matter that the youngsters knew nothing about Kerry, they know enough about what Bush has done to wreck the Country. That's enough to ABB.

I don't care what party you're from, an uninformed voted is never a good thing. One of the kids even believed that Bush and Osama Bin Laden met 4 hours before 9/11 and that was why he wasn't voting for him. If you support that kind of ignorance, you're as much a dumbass as they are.

One could counter that rewarding the Dub for a lousy job done over the last 4 years by voting for him is a sign of a dumb ass too!

I think the best reason to vote for Bush/Cheney is that neither one of them is an attorney. John Kerry and John Edwards are both liberal lawyers that would never support any tort reform. If the US doesn't get a handle on lawsuits and outrageous damages, the economy will implode. Don't believe me? Have your health insurance costs increased in the past few years? YES It's not because medical treatment costs more, it's because everyone shares the burden of lawsuit damages.

That's not a total slam against Kerry because John Kerry would be a decent commander in chief. I think John McCain or Collin Powell would be better but at least they are in Bush's camp.

At the end of the day, ALL politicians are creatures of the machine. No one candidate is going to be the messiah. They will all bow to special interests and if you don't believe that, then you are not fully matured as an adult.

Doesn't it frighten you a little, that a significant portion of the people in this country are so fearful of another four years of W and Co. that they are willing to accept anything but Bush?

well, so far this election has been "why you shouldnt vote for the other guy" rather than "why you should vote for me"

was this live man on the street?
i mean, im not surprised, there are TONS of dumb people in the world. but they dont represent all the young folks. my friends and i know who we are voting for and why.
someone on ron and fez just explained now "its like having a bad employee...one so bad, you are particularly concerned with who is going to replace him, you just know you need to get rid of him"
sad state of affairs, yes. but lets not act like it is all the fault of one group. a number of failures and event have passed to create the climate we are currently in.

I agree that we can't stereotype on group - I should have done it, but a large majority of young americans are misinformed or just totally UNinformed. Some of the people he interviewed were informed (2 out of 10 I think) - I consider myself an informed young person, yet even in discussions with my peers in setting like college classes, I can't help but think that the informed ones are in a small minority.

well, so far this election has been "why you shouldnt vote for the other guy" rather than "why you should vote for me"

So have the majority of past elections. This is the same type of situation that had many people
voting for Bush (against Clinton) in 2000, for Clinton (against Bush Sr) in 1992, for Reagan (against
Carter)... etc.

I agree that we can't stereotype on group - I should have done it, but a large majority of young americans are misinformed or just totally UNinformed.

So are a large majority of older Americans, in my experience. People in general tend to place
their dependence on "trusted sources" without taking the extra step to verify the credibility of
the source itself. I know people in thier 40s to 70s that I will not talk politics with, because they
get just as emotional and knee-jerk reactive to thier interests.

You also have to consider that it was not in Hannity's interest to show informed voters among the
protesters. That would have required actually debating issues, or having to do some fact checking
on his own part to either collaborate or refute thier claims. For a quick TV sound bite, its easier
to just find the people who have no clue, then fill in the blanks with your own content.

You are right that it would be better if all the citizens were informed voters, but that is not the
system our forefathers built. They wanted to make sure that the largest number of people
could vote, to get a broader idea of what the general populace thought about specific topics.
Then they placed safeguards (the electoral college, federal and state level government, the
three branch system) to make sure society could still function even when the general populace
was not making a fully informed decision in the process. They were probably hoping that
the power of a free press, and better access to public officials would encourage citizens to
become more informed about the issues of the day. What they didn't forsee was all the
new distractions that would come along to help cloud the issues even further.
