did anyone find those CSRs in Michael J Fox's Gateway commerical..

utterly unattractive and nonphotogenetic, matter of fact, they are Fugly?(there was two version, a guy and a lady)

plus, the Camera angle is so messed up, 1/8 of their head is cut off in the corner, and their voice is terrible....

oh man, only because of MJ Fox was there prevented it from being the worst commerical i've ever seen.

They can afford the $$ for somebody such as Michael J. Fox to appear in a stupid commercial, but they have to cut 3000 employees.

Don't get me started! :|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|

PCAddict, I talked to our HR lady in my parts. And she says the MJF commercials cost us less than the old "people rule" ones that were like pieces of art. You never knew those were Gateway commercials till the end.

As far as the CSR's that's funny. Seeing as all of our CSR's were fired 2 days ago.

Lastly, not to be mean or anything, but how efficeintly do you think MJF can work a mouse, with his parkinsons and all.

I have yet to see this comercial

So what's your point?

That's completely uncalled for and more than a touch ignorant.

yakko,

My point is that I worked there for three years and as of today I am now one of those 3000 former employees.

Does that satisfy you? :|

Yes, I would have. Because many people I know and have worked with are gone. In my case, I got to make a choice. I had an option to stay or to take a buyout/severance package and get out. I took the option because of what has been happening and what I see happening. It was a difficult decision. I really enjoyed working there for most of my tenure, and it saddens me to see what is going on.

Being that I worked there, I am fully aware of how the company is being run right into the ground through mismanagement from the CEO on down. That is my point. They spend so much money foolishly and now it is biting them in the ass. The solution in their eyes is not stopping the foolish spending, but eliminating employees. I don't understand the logic in your accusing me of being a hypocrite. The only thing I see that is hypocritical is the company's current slogan.

I would only say you are a hypocrite if you would not have mentioned the layoffs if you were not one of them. Losing your job because of foolish spending is bad. If it had been a case of to many employees doing to little work I would have said good riddance to the 3000.
