System locks up when writing to the zip. Also randomly locks system when inserting a disk (light just stays on and the system inc. mouse locks: have to shut down and restart with the disk in, then it works)
I know this is a big problem and has been posted alot.
Is there a bios upgrade? 4.31s didn't help, maybe made it worse.
Isn't the busmaster 3.11 beta included in the 4.31s?
My bios is 2.2...
This is my last cry for help until I get the Promise controller card (which is better, ATA66 or 100?) or Chitcan the zip. Can you have an ATA 100 card in a system where there is ATA 100 on the board?
All I can say is Iomega should have done something about this even though it may not be directly their doing...
