Did anyone else predict the X6 would become such a success?

I can't really remembering seeing one, nor do I really care. I did see my first M6 yesterday and damn, is that one nice looking car.

I've seen a few X6s around here. I don't understand the appeal myself. It's not a real coupé and it's not a real offroader either. I imagine the people who buy them are only getting it because their friend has an X5 and they want something 1 better.
