Yup only 3 out of 10 read so i can actually try to burn. LOL on the box it says 100% Compadibility with all readers and writers. BULL! Anyone else have the same problem? I have the Plextor 8/4/32A IDE drive, latest firmware.

I was going to try them, see how well they work for PSX games, but after your post, it makes me hesitant. 🙂

Ahh good thing you mentioned that...tried to make a *backup* with clonecd with a psx game, does not work...still need mod

The PNY Black Diamonds worked fine for me with my Iomega 12x10x32 flashed to Plextor 1.07 firmware. They didn't perform any different from the other cheap Imation and PNY media I had.

I have PNY 80 Min disks (I got 50 disks for $10 including shipping) and these are THE WORST disks I have ever seen. My Plextor 40Max sometimes can't even read them and only way to get data from burned disk is by inserting it in my Yamaha 2100S (16x10x40), which wrote them in the first place. 95% of songs written to these CDRs won't play in my home stereo system and won't play anywhere else (besides my Pioneer car CD Player, which even reads CD-RW). I personally will never ever buy any more PNY brand CDRs.

My HP branded Sony drives have never had a problem with any disc and I have used a lot of different ones including PNY 80m. I'm not sure about the 'Black Diamond' designation and I have not bothered to check the specs of the discs.
