Washington owned slaves. He set them free upon his death (much to the chagrin of Martha because it majorly reduced their family wealth).

Jefferson fathered an illegitimate child with one of his slaves.

Lincoln never owned slaves. He was never a farmer as an adult; he was a lawyer and politician.

I was at the Lincoln Memorial recently and unless he was a complete and absolute hypocrite, he did not own slaves (there were lots of quotes there supporting this position, obviously, and I doubt Lincoln was a hypocrite).
