Do you regret buying a high end mattress?

Wish you bought a more expensive mattress?

Share.

My $200 mattress is hard as a rock. I have no bed spring. But I have slept on it for 6 years now.

I'm always tired though...

Hell yes. I have a 10% disability in my lower back....don't know if that means I'm 10% disabled 100% of the time, or 100% disabled 10% of the time...anyway, when I was going through all the doctors, rehab, pain clinics, etc, I got rid of my old bed and got a pillow-top, king-size waveless waterbed.

What a difference....like sleeping on a cloud. I was always tired before, because I couldn't stay in bed long enough. Ever since I got that bed, I have trouble getting out of it. Sleep like a rock.

It was damaged when we moved in May, and I replaced it with another one, except it has a memory foam pillow top. Still awesome.

I will let you know in about 24 hours. I just got an $800 queen bed. Not top of the line, but supposed to be good.

In all seriousness; investing in a quality mattress and boxspring (and it IS an investment!) is the best thing you could ever do.

There's a huge diff b/t "passing out and sleeping" and " a good night's sleep."

Do yourself a favor and spend the money for a quality bed. There really is a difference.

I don't sleep well on the sofabed, but I keep it because of the size of the room & the interesting dreams I have on it.

I think it's a gimmick used to sleep on floor sometimes - now thanks to wife I sleep on a crown matress with mem foam and stuff no difference AFAIK. Placebo i think.

Yes it matters. A good night's sleep is vastly underrated these days. The SO and I had fight after fight over what type of bed to get (she loves soft cloud-like beds and I sleep on a cement slab) so we got a Select Comfort bed. Now we're both happy and sleep just fine. HTH

I got those things that you put on top of your bed... Those squishy things that absorb heat blah blah...

I still prefer the couch or the floor.

My girlfriend and I are going to have to get one of these, methinks.

Same here. She preferrs super soft, while that hurts my back. I prefer the futon, but that hurts her back.. lol..

Quite the conundrum.

I always had crappy beds until I got my Sealy Posturpedic pillowtop mattress. Best investment ever.

Yeah big difference. I have a $1200 bed....and it's a double not even a queen. Very nice bed. Parents bought it for me when I got an apartment as a gift. The one I was using was just trashed...was hard on my back, woke up feeling sore. This one is great.

Get a memory foam top for it...you'll thank yourself. I got mine at either overstock.com or smartbargains.com - great deals at those places.

I would say yes. I have a old mattress and box spring now. The box spring is shot, and the mattress isn't much better. I wake up everyday with back pains, and I hardly ever stay in bed over 2 hours at a time. Its horrible.

I'm planning to pickup a new queen set very soon.

I'm one of the oddball people who cansleep like a log regardless of where I am. I can sleep on the floor as well as on our bed I can also sleep well on our couch.

I have never had a bad nights sleep in a hotel, nor have I ever found reason to complain about any hotel bed.

Probably wil end up buying a high dollar mattress for my wife though, the cost of being married I guess.

I think ours was right around $1000 for a queen set. "Sears-o-pedic Nebula" I think was the brand.

I got speakers... she got rats and a bed. I think I won ;)

I was content with the futon.
