Yesterday morning I got an email from someone I have a business arangement with. The email said: 'You have a pending incoming docs shared with you via Dropbox' and provided a link. Clicking on that link took me to My Drive which is where I should have stopped. I am anticipating a large payoff from her and got all caught up in the possibility that it had something to do with that payoff but still, the poor grammer, the Dropbox reference with a redirect to My Drive should have raised red flags. What can I say?
I logged in giving my email, phone number and password to find that there was in fact no shared document. Suddenly, my brain kicked in and I realized that her gmail account had most likely been compromised. She confirmed this verbally shortly afterwards.
So anyway, prior to even hearing back from her I changed my gmail password. I had already set up two step authentication many months ago.
What if anything should I be concerned about at this point?
