Don't forget how GW said a few hours later how he talked to Dick Cheney on the phone and "his voice was strong and vibrante". He also said Dick "healthy". THis was while KNOWING that Mr. Cheney was about to have or had already done a medical procedure on his heart. He also told the press the Dick did not have a heart attack. He wanted to put Dick's attack as just a few heart spasms, not a threatening problem in order to put a good healthy spin on it.

How can anybody believe what he says? This is called "telling a lie" in my book.

If a VP nominee dies before the Electoral College meets on December 18th, the party picks a replacement. There are procedures established for this in both parties.

If a VP nominee dies after the EC deadline, I believe a replacement is picked by a vote of both the Senate and the House.

What is more compassionate? Condemning an entire class of people to a life of minimal government subsistence at the hands of the Poverty Pimps, as the liberals do? Or lifting all people through opportunity as the Conservatives would like to do?

Since the thirties, and more particularly since the sixties, the government in this country has been engaged in creating a social welfare state. They have re-distributed TRILLIONS of dollars from the productive to the un-productive.

Yet today, as a percentage of the population, we have more people classified as poor then at any other time in history. This is a classic example of insanity; to continue doing the same thing, and expect a different outcome.

Again, is this what liberal &quot;compassion&quot; is all about?
