If Dole ever gets a prominent position in the US you can kiss your last freedoms goodbye... The US will be the land of the NOT free...

As and outsider in a country you portray as less free, i enjoy more freedom than you do, why doesn't that scare the sh!t out of you? Is that what you want? the land of the afraid??????

Dude, seriously. Take your whining elsewhere, that has absolutely nothing to do with what I'm talking about.

Oh, i thought you were talking about who could and should be elected in the US, but obviously not?

Actually Dole is relatively innocuous. She has few original ideas . . . basically a Republican version of Jean Carnahan.

Obviously you can't read. I asked why would Cheney be on a ticket, and gave insight on what I think would be a better option for the Republican ticket.

But you just come here to talk about how bad a person is, and how less free America is. Seriously, you really need to just make your own thread if you want to continue simply bashing and whining. I really don't give a damn to which politician you like or not. I want to know about why the Republican ticket thinks Cheney is good to run on the VP, and other possible better candidates for THEM (again, not you.)

Now now, put all the hate and bickering aside. But seriously, I wonder... why?

His health is questionable.
He has a pretty shady background with his relations w/ big business.
He hasn't done much.
Not popular among the general public.

Why would Bush keep him on the 2004 ticket? I'm thinking because Bush/Republicans believe they already have the election in the bag no matter what. What do you guys think? (Please, logical/clean discussion.)

Yeah he is not a marathon runner.

I know he comes from big business but as far as most Republicans are concerned that is not bad.

Most vice presidents have been criticized for this. But being visually active or a media hot topic is not a VP's jop.

I have not seen any poll resutls concerning his popularity. Do you have a link for this?

OOOHHHH NNNOOOOOSSSS!:Q

Evil Oil
Evil Big Business
and
Evil Tobacco all in one? :Q

Surely Cheney must be Evil

:p:D

On a Different note, Hopefully Republicans will learn that they need a touch more diversity in their party than they've previously had(actually both parties do) but while I believe Bush did a fine job with his cabinet I think it seemed a bit contrived.
