403Forbidden, compgeeks deals are usually pretty legit! They're no buy.com/onvia.com but they're definitely better than the average PriceWatch shops. What I don't like about compgeeks is that it is hard to tell sometimes what items are new/refurbished. In this case, it's specifically indicated that the item is NEW :) This should be a pretty hot deal for anyone who wants a BIG & fast hard drive.

Is this really a hot deal? I went over to www.storagereview.com to check out the review on this drive. Overall its about on par with the IBM 75GXP, though the IBM pulled out the champ still by a small margin. However, at the end of their article they say the estimated street price of the DM 45+ is $179... which is what Compugeeks is selling it for. Doesn't sound like much of a hot deal to me.

Add in the $6 ground shipping (to me at least) and its $186. Buy.com has the 75GXP for $216 - 30 off 150 + free shipping = $186 = same price, and the drive scored a bit better.

None of my three orders with ComputerGeeks have been problem-free. Their customer service people will make you jump through some hoops (usually because of incompetence, not because of malice) before finally doing the right thing.
