gonna by my girl some diamond earrings (probably from bluenile).
should i increase the price to 1K by picking my own diamonds that are pretty decent or should i just buy what they have in stock for $500 with min grade diamonds.
not sure if money is well spent on earings having the better diamond or it just doesnt matter? I would definitely like to go down to 500 but fear that they will not look as great.
it for her 30th

looks like price went up 100 from 2 days ago

Earnings?

Why are you buying your "girl" some diamond earrings in the first place? No good has ever come out of buying a woman anything.

loooooooooooooooong time

I still wouldn't really consider getting her something worth over $1k for a single gift. Until you two have made some real sort of commitment it's likely you're just spending money on somebody else's wife. Spend money on small gifts or going to do stuff with her, but $1k for just one gift seems silly.

sounds like someones dodging the marriage question lol🙂

I'm personally not a fan of diamonds. I agree with Bignate603 to an extent. It's not so much the money, as the frivolity of the purchase. $500+ is a lot to spend on something that just sits there.

I'd honestly think spending $1k on a long weekend vacation for the two of you would be much better if you're really committed to spending money on her. Stay a few nights at a really nice place, eat at places you would never consider eating at normally, and spend the time together.

i spent around 900 on my girls earrings .50 (.25 each)... but the diamonds were high quality. they look nice and sparkle like crazy and she hasn't gotten them cleaned yet since putting them on!

Most of the time only a jeweler will know the difference between lower quality and higher quality diamond earrings, and there isn't going to be a difference with how thrilled she is when you give them to her based on the quality, nor how memorable or keepable they are. I say go with the cheaper ones. If you want to make it even more memorable take the extra cash and take a weekend trip together instead of getting a pricier pair.
