I recently came across this article
(http://recommendedspec.com/blo...-thermal-compound.aspx )where the author creates his own thermal paste using diamond powder instead of the usual silver based paste. The results he posts at the end of the article seem too good to be true so I was wondering if anyone has seen any other tests like this.

I also found a similar diamond based thermal compound sold retail at http://www.heatsinkfactory.com...d-15-gram-p-16605.html.

If these results are accurate it could mean a significant amount more over-clocking.

Hey. Welcome to AT Forums.

I currently am using IC DIAMOND 7 and it's very thick and putty-like. Not very easy to apply or spread evenly. If you can manage a good application, then you are golden. My 8800GTS G92 runs at 31C idle, 43C load @ 780/1950/2000. But I didn't do so well with my Q6600 so I am barely running as well as my air cooling (I'm now on custom water). I think I'm going to use MX-2 on my CPU.
