Anyone use this service? It almost looks like you have to use their brower attachment, but $5.50 is dirt cheap. I would like to get my parents a cheap account.

I know most of you don't use dialup, but lots of people still do.

WTF?
unlimited does not equal 150 hours.
isn't that blatent false advertising?

but this may not be a bad deal for most users.
i'd like to see if anyone has feedback on this company

That's what pretty much ALL of these cheap providers do, I know from experience. If you're lucky enough to have access to Fry's dialup, get them for ~$9.95/month and you can be online as long as you want, honestly (except for their 24 hour session limit, in which case you just reconnect and everything is great).

I was kicked from one of these "unlimited" shams and was never refunded the prepaid months I had left.

Good deal for my Mother in law, thanks.

BTW, it seems providers are now using word trickery to describe "unlimited" (read=Comcast).

Unlimited mean you can always connect, or 24/7 access and aren't restricted to certain times.

I've been using Access4Less for almost a year and a half and I'm happy with it. It's $5.95/month for unlimited access, two e-mails and news server access. It doesn't require special software so you can use it with Windows, Linux, or whatever.

i've used this service in the past. when i first got it, everything went fine, but as my hours online climbed i kept getting knocked off.

that was 9 months ago.

i attempted to d/c the service and i'm still getting bills. maybe its just my bad luck?

i used access4less too, before i signed up for yahoo dsl. can't beat $6/mo, no setup fee, and no contract if you only do light surfing, email, and forums.

You can use access4less.net for $5.95 and unlimited. I have used them for over a year and great service. I now have SBC broadband just one week.

It uses caching, so it saves entire sites on your PC..ie fast surfing, because you aren't actually surfing:D

Same here.

A co-worker was paying $21.95/mo for MSN with all the damn fancy colors, popups, etc. They switched to Access4Less they use plain IE and Outlook, no special software. Works great and they connect at 52.9k usually.

Another vote for access4less.net. I got it for my parents since all they do is email, that's about it.

Another one to look into is NeanderTech - use it for my parents and it seems to work all right. Customer support seems to be slow, but it works, so I'm not complaining. $5.75/month
