If you look at http://www.av-comparatives.org > Comparatives > 11. On-demand comparative, near the top of the table they mention how the antivirus software did against a collection of over 200000 dialers. True, some antiviruses don't have dialer detection. But of those that do, it looks like many have a rating of "excellent." That means >95% detection rate. So I'd be curious to see what the OP is using, if anything.Originally posted by: Lemon law
And as a minor quibble with mechbgon--many of the malware types falling under the definition of dialers will often be better detected by scanners in the spyware class.
Rather than scanners in the antivirus class---which often confine themselves to just viruses--trojans---worms.

While that will work mechBgon was asking about anti-malware because lots of malware will dial a connection by itself.
