Diagnostic and Performance Tools

I have a Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra-939 with an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ and 2GB of Corsair VS512MB400 memory.

Occasionally the Award BIOS emits what the manual describes as a continuous long beep which, according to the manual, indicates a DRAM error. Memory passes the BIOS boot memory test.

Any suggestions on what may be causing the beeping?

I'm also seeking recommendations on a memory test program, a PCI diagnostic board, and a guide to performance tuning the system.

Thanks!
