Maybe chiggers. I see that you live in Virginia so you have plenty of small insects and bugs around you. Please update what the doc says, I'm curious now.

BTW, your wife is cute! :)

Kinda looks that way to me.

Ringworm has a brown ring around the outside and usually turns white on the inside of the circle...it might be but that big blotch just doesn't have a middle thats a different color than the outter ring...

From the picture, that looks just like what I had about 6 months ago. I saw a dermatologist and got some perscription steroid cream that cleared it right up. The Dr said it was an allergic reaction to a bug bite.

No amputations here!
;)

That's what I was thinking - I had the same sort of thing a while ago, but not so bad, and it was simply that a flea from my mother-in-law's new puppy had migrated to my trouser leg and was happily going to town on my flesh.

you got blacklight? use it to see if it's glowing, that's a sign of ringworms.

LOL.....it's not like he lives in the country. His neck of the woods in Virginia is essentially an extension of the Wash. D.C./Baltimore corridor. Just asphalt, buildings, and very little dirt and grass.

My brother lives in Arlington........just another suburb of DC. And you'd never know you changed towns except for the signs on the roadside. Horrible traffic, too. Hate the Beltway!

But, it does look like bug bites and an allergic reaction to them. I'd almost definitely say it's NOT ringworm......as has been pointed out, no ring, no clear center section.

Treatment will prob. be a topical/oral steriod (prednisone) and maybe some oral anitbiotics. Do you have animals in the house?

Looks to me like poison ivy.... I'll forward the pic to my fiancee... (she's a doctor)

ya we have a small dog, however i wouldn't discount the bugs from the small wooded areas around hear though. I've been walking in the woods to grab some photos, and have had no less than 15 ticks on me in the last month. Only two have actually bitten down :p

It appears to be some sort of poison ivy, sumac, somthing along that nature, is it spreading...

get a strong cortisone cream and see if that helps, if so, then she may be able to get a some prescription strength stuff like Lidex, or a oral steroid pack.

there are several patches on here legs and elbows. the only reason I don't believe it is poison ivy or something along those lines is that I am hhhhhhighly contagious. Like my face swells and I have to be rushed to the hospital to have shots in my ass. So far I am clean... I'll let you guys knwo what it is after her 6:30 doc appt tonight

Yup, Bailey's. That's where I hung out at last year's Shamrock Fest. Couldn't fricking move in the place lol.

Dijobi, yeah we should have a NOVA get together. The previous Shamrock we all tried to get together at Bailey's (I think Darkstar757 set it up) but it was too mobbed to find anyone.
