I read the sticky thread... but that doesn't exactly address the 'problem' I might have. I SUSPECT there is something wrong with my wireless router. I purchased a wireless-n Belkin for the specific reason of streaming movies to my PS3 wirelessly.
Basically my setup goes like this. FIOS router hardwired to Belkin Wifi-n. Belkin hardwired to PS3. My Laptop connects to the Belkin router. I surf the web just fine. Signal strength doesn't seem to be a problem.
Now here's where it gets tricky. When I first set this up, my movies streamed fantastically. Then something went wrong. No clue what. I ended up hardwiring through my old router for awhile, as I couldn't get it to work wirelessly with the Belkin. I'm trying to get it working again and it just lags/stutters whenever I try. To make matters worse, I've tried to delete the network and reset the router to set everything up all over again, but when I run the software to do so it doesn't find the router. WTF? I've pressed the little reset button everything. On top of everything else I can't even seem to get to my wireless router settings page to change the channel its broadcasting on or anything else. But I can still connect to it? So I'm really damn confused.
At the end of the day though, I think there is something wrong with the connection, I just don't know what. Is there any software out there that just tests the wireless network in general and notifies of any problem areas?
Any advice would be much appreciated, I'm starting to get really frustrated!
