Blizzard has operated this way since it's earliest days, and you can't argue with success. Personally I'd rather pay full retail for a Blizz game that is essentially fully developed upon release than even $5 for some other bug ridden mess that takes hours of my time & frustration before I ditch it.

Think of all the games you have purchased that may have eventually turned into good games after another couple of months of patches, but instead absolutely hated them.

BTW, as a long term Blizz follower I interpret "early 2012" as June 29th. If they release it a month or two earlier so much the better.

I interpret it as "it ain't done yet, carry on" with no actual date implied.
