I just re-installed it after swearing I'd never play the damn game again. 1 year relapse and I'm off again. And loving it!

I am not convinced to have that curse back on my hard drive. 1.10 is starting to surface and maybe all hacks and those unfair white items are starting to dissappear.

Heck, I'll buy it tonight. Which "Edition" of DII should I get, please?

Most places sell D2 and the D2 expansion for $20 each, this is $40 and you get D1 and the strategy guide. I sold my copy after my first time through, I might have to pick this one up.

Thanks, Logan. I've seen that one in BB before. I'll be dungeon-dredging this weekend. :)

Same here. I think I'm going to stick to WC3 in the 3-4 hours each week I get to play games... :( Damn real-life...

I don't know, really. I'll be playing the single-player game first...back in the PS1 Diabolo I days, I usually picked the Female Archer (don't remember her character class) as she could do a little of everything well.

Plus, the arrows come in handy later when you don't have to get up close to those dangerous guys to hurt them. :D

*shrug* I'll just mess around w/it until I find one that suits me best. IIRC DII introduced some new character classes on top of the original four, right?

omg, diablo two sucks... my friends are all addicted to it, and they told me to play through the first act becuase they thought for sure i would like it... and what ive learned from that experience is that game has possibly the most BORING gameplay on earth. I still hate that game, i wish i could get back the 3 or so hours i wasted on it.

In original Diablo 2 there are the Barbarian, Paladin, Necromancer, Amazon, and Sorceress. The expansion added the Druid and Assassin. I generally only play single player, when I play. I have a fairly high level Barbarian and Druid. They each have their high and low points. The Barbarian is a MAJOR damage character......and the Druid is a lot of fun to shapeshift with and have a bear to play around with. :) But yeah, just experiment around and figure out what you like. They all have some cool abilities and skills.

Speaking of hack n slash games does anyone still play Dungeon Siege. I played it but I never played the new maps that came out for it. IT was also an infinitely modable game. I may reinastall that and check it out.

Dungeon Siege was ok, until I played the multiplayer. First of all you couldnt join half the games. Second of all there were bugs (or atleast when I played it). Third the fat that it was infinitely moddable was somewhat of a turn off for me. Look I just found 5 dragon wing sword of dragon wings. Whats the fun in that? To me it isnt fun when everyone has the best of everything.

I never played online, but I did play over a network which was some cool stuff. You could pick which mods you want for the little ones, but my expectations where for when the big project ones came out cus you basically have a new story and a new game.

If you want a sneak peak at the 1.10 items, they can be found here

Apparently Blizzard uploaded the new Arreat Summit page with all the 1.10 items a bit prematurely & took it down quickly, but not fast enough :p
