Blizzard has not released any information on a official release date. The best we have is that they plan on starting Beta sometime in 2011.... maybe.

7/9 was the release day of the original diablo expansion?
of course diablo was released on 11/30 so 11/30/2014 is probably closer to the date.

According to Joystiq, the beta is coming some time in Q3 of this year. An optimistic view puts the retail release around Xmas. My buddy used to play Diablo all the time back in '97. I'm curious about this installment.

Diablo 2 was release 11 years ago. There was no question they would release a Diablo 3. For a game to take over 11 years to release is absurd.

No, Titan Quest's graphics are not better than Diablo III's. I've played the former, and watched all of the latter's videos.

As for the release date: I'll bet you it comes out in Q1/Q2 of 2012. If you made me pick one or the other I'd say Q2 only because I REALLY want it ASAP.

D3's graphics are far FAR superior to Titan Quest. I also don't know why everybody is up in arms about the "colorful" palette they're using in D3. I think we need more color in games. This brown/grey sepia shit is old.

I believe they don't charge it until it ships. Amazon is like that anyhow. But I agree I wouldn't order it yet either. We haven't even seen how cool the collector's/limited edition is going to be.

Whats wrong with D2? I just started some new chars when the ladder reset a couple months ago, seems "fairly" actively played, but nothing like it used to be.

I can quite honestly say that I don't mind paying $100 for Diablo/StarCraft games. The way I see it, I got WAAAAAAAY more than my money's worth out of Diablo/Diablo II/Diablo II:LoD/StarCraft/StarCraft:BW... and I'm well on my way to making good on that claim with StarCraft II.

That said, other developers/publishers had better not get any stupid ideas with charging $100 per CE because their products are nowhere near as good!

I can quite honestly say that I don't mind paying $100 for Diablo/StarCraft games. The way I see it, I got WAAAAAAAY more than my money's worth out of Diablo/Diablo II/Diablo II:LoD/StarCraft/StarCraft:BW... and I'm well on my way to making good on that claim with StarCraft II.

That said, other developers/publishers had better not get any stupid ideas with charging $100 per CE because their products are nowhere near as good!

I have the Balls of Steel edition already preordered. lol But that is another game entirely.
