i think diablo 3 is inevitable. its more than likely blizzard's next project unless starcraft 2 is planned. diablo 2 still has a fairly large # of people playing and its an ancient game by game age standards. im sick of it now. but d3 will be great whenever they do get to it. correct me if im wrong but i also think d2 was blizz's best seller.

They are currently working on a SECRET PROJECT. :D They recently took a few of the forum mods at battle.net away to work on this, whatever it is. It might seem that it would be something related to WOW, but one of the guys that was going to the new project told me that it was new and unrelated!

After purchasing Diablo, all I can say is it was the most overhyped game I was ever suckered into purchasing

I'm waiting for them to cancel Starcraft: Ghost for the consoles. Last I heard it was delayed another few months. Typical Blizzard style, but how much have we heard on this game so far? I'm betting it doesn't live up to their standards, so they scrap it.

Considering Blizzard already has one huge MMORPG coming out (WoW), I highly doubt first, that the would even consider making a second one, and second, that they would veer away from their tried and true formula that they've already developed with the Diablo series.

Man.. I haven't talked about Diablo II for a long time...
I have played Diablo II for 4 Years and have thought about that for a long time...

3.5 Years on Classic
.5 Years on Expansion

When LoD came out in 2001 (i think?) I played it for around 6 months. Got to level 90 using Cruel Matriarchal Bow, 160/60 Armor, Stormshield + Forgot that Javalin's Name. Everything was so EZ to kill i decided to go back to Classic because XP was pwnd.

I had been a newb in Classic but then that changed. Found out about the dupes and everything. Got to level 90 on my barbarian #214 on Ladder. Often dueled other level 90 barbs around and there weren't much btw. I can even remember what i used.

Beast Coat - 902 41 life 35 mana 11 Dex Ornate Plate with +100 AR from Pdia socket.
1x Bitter Turn + 1x Shadow Coil , both dual stat rings with LL%
Soul Scratch with Pamethyst socket.
Sigon's Helm + Shield
Hsaru's Boots + Belts
19/14 Str/Dex w/ 36 Life War Gauntlets (forgot name)
Corruption Heart +2 baba str/dex +6% LL amulet

Was one of the top 20-30 barbs in UsEast Classic D2 for like 1-2 years. Ahh now that was FUN. Trying to kill Sharp_Arrows and his gang of gay friends in Chaos Sanctuary Runs. He was level 98 and the first to hit 99 in patch 1.08 or .09 I believe. Then Me and a gang of friends got this guy Tower_Two's amazon to 98 but Sharp reached 99 first. Damn that took along time. Eventually Tower_Two became #1.

That is one addicting game. I re-bought it around 7 times because my dad kept throwing it away and I failed some classes because of it.

Anyway, If it was in the style lf Lineage II or something, it would be nice as hell but it would be kind of corny to see Diablo revived again and all. Maybe they can do a story with Tyrael (the archangel) going corrupt and taking over the heavens or something and he revives Diablo and you gotta stop both. But they still would have to keep the statistic engine because it owned. I can't imagine it being something else that it isnt. And the items they should also keep but maybe change around the names. I don't like uniques or sets though. I can't stand people using mass uniques like in the Expansion pack. Everyone uses uniques... but in Classic, everyone uses rares.

I'm not even sure how they would do it. And if they would introduce any characters into the game. The only thing is that the original creators of Diablo and Warcraft from the original blizzard staff... I think like half of them are gone or something and have created Flagship Studios. I'm not sure if the new Blizzard would make it great like the old staff.

But after SC2 and WOW I'm not sure what they're gonna do. If they can't come up with anything new, they'll probably start DIII. I hope so...

I'm certain d3 will happen. It would obviously, from a business standpoint be a HUGE seller. And the appeal of d2 was never click click click weeee i cleared a dungeon. It was click click.. is that ? no ? it is !! yes.. a nice item. D2 quickly turned into a treasure hunt. That is its massive appeal.

Actually, Blizzard handed off the development of the game to another house a few months back.

I haven't played it in months dude. I'm not going NEAR that game. TOO ADDICTING.

I used to draw an inventory of what my new character was gonna wear, specs of items, leveling how much per day etc, everyday in school. Lmfao. One addicting game.
