Diablo 2 Multires?

From the little I've learned in the torrent, its buggy and sugject to flakiness, but the prospect of being able to run D2 at 1920x1200 is interesting.

Anyone have success with the mulires hack? I assume its probably unusable for Bnet or Ladder play though.

MultiRes seems to work fairly well. Only played a few minutes into the game though, 1920x1200. Still looks like ass, but less so.

Haven't tested it with Bnet yet. I never got into playing D2 on Bnet, in the game's early days it was nothing more than a lag fest.

I've tried it on Battle.Net and it didn't work, after I entered my account name and password I got a message telling me that the game's version could not be recognized. But it works well off-line.

Is there anything to increase the resolution of D1? I'd even settle for something that allows you to walk a little faster, but I can't find much since all my searches bring up D2 mods.
