it won't even go beyond the auto-play splash screen .. where its says to play diablo .. click on play and it flashes a couple of times then .. goes back to windows ... any suggestions ??
o ya reinstalled a few times .. in both single/multi and full .. plus tried the 1.01 patch .. same situation ..

try changing the video settings from direct3d to directdraw.. you won't get the nice lighting effects but it'llrun faster.

Only other thing I've seen is the video drivers, or the installation of Direct X. Trying doing a search on your hdd for a prog called 'dxdiag.exe', run it, and see if the direct draw and the directplay work ok there. I always start there.
