diablo 2 change resolution

You cant.. at least not yet. When the expansion pack comes out you will be able to bump it to 800x600, still feeble, but better than the arcahic 640x480 they use now.
 
yup, its locked in 640X480, I don't think its right that are charging for the expansion pack for the meager bump up to 800X600.
 
You can play it in a window by adding -w to your command line on the shortcut though. Looks much better.
 
The expansion is not just for the resolution bump. There are new quests, characters, and a lot of other things.
 
I agree that the exp pack will be worth it, but I also agree that it's shady not to offer an optional resolution patch for D2C(classic). Playing in a window can be dangerous, especially if you're a whirlwind barb--can't tell you how many times Instant Messager has killed me. 😱
 
End of this month, allegedly, though there are still some big problems with the beta according to the more noteworthy testers, such as Sirian. The Arreat Summit (the battlenet web page for the game) claims the site will be finished in early july to august though, which either means that Frazier is lazy or Bliz might be thinking a little more conservatively.
